Bonding is something that occurs through resonance. Resonance occurs through being in rhythm with our parents from the prenatal stage, and as an infant and child. This synchronized relationship creates more energy for both parent and child and supports the downloading of great deals of information and new learning for the infant. We download parental and generational patterns.
It is important to note that the synchronized relationship does not differentiate between healthy and unhealthy patterns. The infant moves into rhythm with everything the parents are, their personal and generational patterns. This means that the foundation for our self-image is built on previous generations.
We may also synchronize with our parents' image of themselves and each other, possibly even with the family or generational image.
Because we are highly tuned from infancy to our parent's relationship with him or herself, with each other, with us , and with their view of us, we develop certain beliefs about ourselves. These beliefs become integrated into our overall image of ourselves.
What happens is that we become attached to, obsessed by, what we don't like about ourselves. Then we are giving our power and energy to what we dislike.
The quality of who we are and what we project changes as we let go of the image we adopted in infancy and childhood. We can make a choice to create and be fluid with our self-image from a place of greater harmony with tools such as Resonance Repatterning and Spiritual Response Technique.
